What kind of personal information Hey-Presto collects and how it is collected:

Hey-Presto collects personal information via the "Contact us" page. This is limited to name, phone, address and email address, opt in for our periodic newsletter and in some cases the text submitted via the free form box on that page. Where we transact with customers over the phone, we may (at their specific request) retain their credit card number to facilitate future sales - but this is only done on their request. 

Personal Information you provide: We store the personal information you enter on the Hey-Presto web site or give to Hey-Presto in other ways. We obtain most information through the Hey-Presto registration process. You may provide information when you request or acquire a product or service from Hey-Presto, complete a survey or questionnaire, enter a competition, or when you communicate with Hey-Presto by e-mail, telephone or in writing. 

We do not currently use Cookies on this web site (but would do so if in the future we elect to introduce shopping cart technology) 
 

How Hey-Presto uses the information you provide:

Hey-Presto may use information it collects from you for the primary purpose for which it is collected and for such other secondary purposes that are related to the primary purpose of collection. 

Hey-Presto generally uses personal information to: (a) provide you with products or services you have requested, (b) help Hey-Presto manage and enhance its services, (c) communicate with you, (d) provide you with ongoing information about opportunities on the Hey-Presto web-site in which Hey-Presto believes you may be interested. 

In most cases where Hey-Presto asks you to provide information about yourself, if you do not provide Hey-Presto with that information, Hey-Presto will not be able to provide you with the requested product or service. 
 

Disclosure:

Hey-Presto will disclose personal information to others if requested to do so by court order 

Hey-Presto may also provide your information to third parties engaged by Hey-Presto to perform functions on its behalf, such as processing credit card information, debt collection, research and advertising; 

If Hey-Presto sells part of its business, personal information may be part of the assets transferred to the purchaser.

Hey-Presto's management of personal information is designed to be in accordance with this policy and the Commonwealth Privacy Act. 

Hey-Presto protects the personal information Hey-Presto holds from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure by various means including firewalls, pass word access, secure servers and, should Hey Presto introduce shopping cart technology, via encryption of credit card transactions. 
 

Updating personal information:

Hey-Presto endeavors to ensure that the personal information it holds is accurate, complete and up-to-date. You can update your Hey-Presto membership information by contacting us at Hey-Presto. 

Where personal information is no longer required by Hey-Presto, it will be destroyed or de-identified. 
 

Seeking access to the personal information Hey-Presto holds about you:

You have the right to seek access the personal information held about you and to advise Hey-Presto of any inaccuracy. There are some exceptions to this right set out in the Privacy Act. 

If you make an access request, Hey-Presto will ask you to verify your identity and specify what information you require. Hey-Presto may charge a fee to cover the costs of meeting your request. 
 

Returns Policy:

We offer a full refund on any item that is faulty. If an item is received in error on our part we will also offer a full refund or replacement. We do however request that you notify us of any such problems within 7 days of receipt of product.

SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT MAGIC SHOPS AND RETURN POLICIES : Once a magic trick or magic related product has been opened and the secret revealed, we do not offer a refund. Once you buy the trick, you buy the secret. Magic is a performing art form which requires practice and perfection. If you try and return an item because it does not 'fit your style' or because it was 'not what you thought it was', then we reserve the right to refuse the return.
